Winter Shipping

As the seasons change and nighttimes can be colder than tropical plants prefer, we employ some additional measures when shipping plant orders.

In addition to our normal packing,  we may - at our discretion - add heat packs and/or utilize two-day delivery service, an upgrade from our standard Ground or Home Delivery modes.  All associated charges will be to your account.  Here are a few scenarios to demonstrate how we decide:

1. You live within 2 delivery days of us, and the nighttime temperatures are not expected to go below 50°F - no change.
    
2. You live within 2 delivery days of us, and the nighttime temperatures are expected to go below 50°F any where en route - add the use of heat packs.
    
3. You live beyond the 2-day delivery period, but the temperatures will only be an issue here - add the use of heat packs to get it safely out of our area.
    
4. You live beyond the 2-day delivery period, and the temperatures may be a factor somewhere en route - add heat packs and upgrade to 2-day shipping.

In circumstances in which we opt for expedited service, we will combine or split your shipment to minimize the cost to you - sometimes a single box for 2-day delivery will be less expensive that one at 2-day and a second at normal shipping.
